Elbie Van Eeden doing thing, very, very well.
Flo + Percy accessories make the “taking photos of jewelery” part of a wedding SO much more fun.
Abbie blinged up + ready to rock it.
Doing a bit of marriage…
It was an emotional ceremony, (even the cake was in tiers) it sent one of Abbie + Steven’s guests into labour shortly after this photo!!
I’m a sucker for that dirty, grainy, black + white
So first of all, Abbie + Steven are geniuses. They knew they were getting married in the Winter + they scheduled their wedding for mid-day. If you’re getting married in the Winter + want enough time for outdoor pictures, YOU GOTTA DO THIS! It meant that we got a whole bunch of fun outdoor images, saving the indoor/night portraits for later on. The proof is in the pudding…
Oh + how awesome is Abbie’s coat?!
Hello sexy blob of natural light.
Any photo can be greatly improved by adding 3D glasses. I soon learned after this that 3D glasses don’t really protect anyone from looking directly into the sun.
LOVE Steven’s expressions. I can’t remember what I said but whatever it was, it worked.
You ever seen a Bride look more radiant + full of excitement? Me neither.
You ever seen a Bride look more ghetto? Me neither.
Can’t decide who wins overall but Steve’s face on the second set of images below has gotta be one of the more “inventive” crazy faces we saw last year.
Love this + I’ll love you.
We don’t post as many documentary photos as I guess we should do but the left image below kind of stood out to us. As wedding photographers, we see a lot of weddings, so take our word for it when we say it’s rare to see the Bride + Groom take some time to just talk to each other + reflect on what craziness is happening around them. Everyone was milling around after the meal, I glanced over + saw this AMAZING moment. I wanted to run over + join in the hug or perhaps throw a high-five but thought it might be a tad inappropriate.
This is going to make a rather amazing spread in their album
Tweetin’ on your wedding day FTW.
Crappy downsized image for the blog means you probably can’t read what they tweeted but basically they were announcing that they were now married. Kinda cool when Abbie regarded twitter as one of her most important tools when planning a wedding.
One thing all our couples have in common is that they’re not afraid have fun + laugh at themselves in the process whilst giving us creative freedom to shoot our “vision”. Abbie + Steve were no exception. We love them for that + we LOOOOOVVVVEEE these next two images. These aren’t gonna be the images that get printed big in their home (atleast I doubt it), but they will be photos that their kids are gonna giggle about when Abbie + Steven are in their 70′s, whilst watching Masterchef series 86, on a hover-board.
FAVOURITE CUTTING/MUNCHING THE CAKE SHOT EVER.
We were setting up lights for a group shot in their room. Camera got thieved again.
Just wanted to round up the post by saying a huge thanks to Abbie + Steven for being such a fun, real + all round lovely couple to “work” with. We cannot wait to design your album!
