WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER LONDON
SERVING YOU FUN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
UK + WORLDWIDE

Hello.

I’m Chris.

I am a wedding photographer in London creating authentic, fun + natural wedding photography that’s filled with character, energy + genuine knee-slappin’ lawls.

I shoot natural wedding photography with a laid-back approach to create wedding photography that won’t make you die a little bit inside.

I work with my couples as actual human beings (I’m a genius) to create images that reflect their personalities – not just an artificial/posed ‘version’ of what you both look like when you’re forced to look a certain way.

This unique approach takes all the awkwardness out of portraits + is perfect for couples who are camera shy or prefer natural wedding photography.

Fun.

No cheesy “jazz hands”. No gimmicks.
Let’s be clear … the process is fun because I am hilarious.

Super chill.

No bossing around guests. Just hanging out with them. They call me the king of blending. The “BlendKing”. Nobody has ever called me that.

Bad for mice.

Literally zero cheese.

Does natural wedding photography work for you?

A natural wedding photography approach isn’t for everyone. I believe that candid wedding photography should come from the perspective of someone who’s also invested + curious in every friend, family member + unfolding story.

In the day + age of mobile phone cameras, instant sharing + filters that completely alter appearances – I believe that it’s more important than ever that your natural wedding photography is authentic. Being ‘authentic’ goes beyond minimising the use of trendy filters. It requires a total shift in priority from ‘taking wedding photos of someone so that they look nice” to “identifying + showing personality”. I want you to really see the people you love in your wedding photos. I don’t care about posing them to make them ‘look’ fun if *they are actually* fun. I just want to give people the permission to be themselves + not feel like they have to act a certain way because I’m the (dun dun dunnnn) ‘official photographer’.

Some of my favourite photos ever of my own friends + family aren’t the polished portraits or the awkward self-timer photo that we *had* to do because it’s the only time the whole family is together. My favourite photos are actually just really amateurish snapshots of my friends + family when we were sharing a good time.

In the long-haul, we give more sentimental attachment to wedding photos that we associate with a positive or storytelling experience than to photos that are aesthetically pleasing but lack any expression, feeling, or emotional depth.

I have one photo of my grandad giving me his signature death grip secret handshake. He used to do it to wind me up + I thought it was hilarious…every. single. time. You can see my grandad winking at me as he catches me off guard. He’s jokingly crushing my hand so my expression is totally playing into being a victim. I look completely dumb in the photo + I absolutely couldn’t care less. It was a fun, real moment that was captured after years of it being a running joke. Sadly, he’s no longer with us but I’ll treasure that blurry/dark photo more than any empty staged portrait.

You can be posed in a flattering way….be in perfect lighting…with a beautiful backdrop + retouch your face till it no longer resembles a face. The best a “nice” photo can ever be is “nice”. The best wedding photographers are those that create a space where you can be yourselves + therefore associate it with an aspect of a loved-ones personality. These are the wedding photos that can only grow in personal value throughout your lifetime. Your wedding is a real opportunity to capture a huge collection of candid, storytelling photographs that depict all the people you care about most. The best wedding photography should bring back side-splitting stories, hazy dance floor memories + remind you of your connection to those closest to you.

You can’t pose or artificially construct that sort of thing.

Our wedding photos from Chris are SO FULL OF LIFE that viewing them is more than looking at pictures, a quick trip to the parents with the USB became a 2hr+ visit with stories and laughter and ACTUAL memories!

Chris has a wonderful ability to fit in with people you’ve known your whole life and make it seem like he’s always been there.

Chris thank you for being an actual human being and for making us laugh and helping us be ourselves on our wedding day.

You truly helped make it the incredible day that it was!

RECENT STUFF
I GONE + DID

LAURA + HARRY

Santa Maria Di Castellabate Wedding. Back in the summer, I was invited to be part of Laura + Harry’s Castellabate wedding. This whole wedding was *stunning*. I’ve loved photographing destination weddings recently. There’s something so exciting about getting on a place + heading to a location that’s totally different from where I usually shoot. I love working with new types of light, completely different architecture + meeting people from different cultures. I always arrive at least a day in advance (because air travel) which means I usually get to meet + hang out with my couples friends + families before

RELAXED WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

I’ve been so excited to share this stunning Rayavadee wedding in Krabi, Thailand. Partly because I get to open this story with monkeys but also because I absolutely loved being part of this experience.

I could’ve never dreamt in a million years that my ‘work’ would take me to Thailand. I’ve always wanted to see the textured limestone cliffs, picturesque forests + idyllic beaches so when Emma + Rico asked Alline + I to photograph their wedding, we could barely believe our luck.

That said – my relaxed wedding photography approach remained the same but with a *little* more sun, sea + sushi.

CANDID WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

This was one of my first times as a wedding photographer in Nice + guess what? It was Nice. Sorry.

But seriously it was actually pretty nice. Anne + Jeff planned the day with the help of the super talented girls at Rock My Love, who created a beautiful blush pink French chateaux garden wedding to host all of Anne + Jeff’s favourite people from around the world.

I also got to have one of my favourite wedding sidekicks (Destination wedding videographer) along for the ride…+ by “ride”…I mean that Leanne is a fantastic driver + she was definitely didn’t almost kill us both with her stunt driving skills.
